The Vintage Watch Market Is Overpriced and Will Collapse

Over the last decade, the vintage watch market has become one of the hottest markets out there. Prices for watches have skyrocketed, buoyed by auction results and a desire to own vintage watches by the common collector. Not only have prices been increasing at such a rapid rate, they have done so in an non-uniformed manner. Also, certain types of watches are being priced at astronimical prices when really they are worth two-thirds of the list price. All of this stems from our access to information. With a economic slow-down lingering in our near future, the prices for vintage watches will hopefully fall and correct the market as any slow-down does to an invest-able asset. Here are our thoughts of where the market is going in the next 1-2 years.
