Only Watch is a charity watch auction that takes place biennially and features unique, high horology watches that are auctioned off to raise money for children with muscular dystrophy. MB&F has participated in this auction and been close to the founding family, and so it was only natural that they participate in this years Only Watch Auction taking place this November in Geneva.

MB&F created a limited edition HM4 for Only Watch 2011. They partnered with Chinese artist, Huang Hankang, to create something special for the 2011 auction. For their piece that’s its inspiration from the jets of planes, a miniatured panda was mounted on the top of the HM4, and given sled rope to steer the rocket as it flies into all of our imaginations. This was an incredibly successful HM4 and was a star of the 2011 Only Watch Auction.

This year, MB&F is returning to Only Watch, and creating another panda inspired machine. This time, they are using the new HM10 Bulldog design to create something special. They fitted panda ears and a tail to the HM10 design, finished the case in black and white, and boy does this one look like a Panda! They released some really intriguing drawings of the HM10 ‘Panda’, with the watch on the wrist without a strap and also among bamboo, with some pieces by the jaws of the Bulldog… or Panda. It is an incredible iteration off of an already fun looking mechanical piece of art from MB&F.

Enjoy!
