A Review of StrapsCo Watch Straps

Watch straps are a great way to mix up the watch you are wearing on your wrist. The straps you pair with your watch can give the watch a completely different look and feel. StrapsCo, a Canadian-based watch strap company, has a wide range of straps to choose from. Everything from vintage inspired straps, to NATO straps, and even smartwatch straps. We are going to review three straps from their site that give versatility to the watches of your collection.

Disclaimer: These three straps were sent to us by StrapsCo in exchange for an honest review. These are our honest opinions on these straps. Thank you StrapsCo for the chance to review your products.

SEAT BELT BOND NATO

The NATO strap has become a real favourite of many collectors. The seat belt bond NATO strap really hit it out of the park for us. The strap itself is super comfortable but you can tell it is made of fairly good quality material. The steel used on the buckle and other parts of the strap feel very high quality and make you feel confident in wearing the product. It looks great with sportier watches and the orange in this specific strap definitely pops!

VINTAGE LEATHER STRAP

There are some watches that look incredible with a vintage inspired strap. The vintage leather strap looked incredible with one of our newer listing on our site, the LeCoultre triple calendar moon-phase. The full-grain leather itself has a textured finish to it and is fairly soft. There is stitching around the outside of the strap and we could not see much glue used to keep the pieces of leather together. Glue often decreases the longevity of a strap. The steel used in the buckle was very similar to the NATO, and felt of high quality. The strap also had quick release pins which were super helpful when changing it onto another watch. We did notice that the sealant used along the outside edges of the watch to seal the leather together was accidentally applied to the top and bottom of the strap. Overall this strap felt comfortable on the wrist and pairs incredibly with vintage watches.

DASSARI VINTAGE ALLIGATOR STRAP

The last strap is the more formal of the three straps. Dassari is a watch strap maker than appears to sell some of their straps through StrapsCo. The vintage alligator strap has embossed alligator pattern to it and is great in combination with more formal watches. The strap has many of the same features, including the solid steel buckle and quick release pins. The leather itself was fairly stiff when one puts it on their wrist, which probably will help with the longevity of the strap. You will need to probably wear in the strap a bit before its’ rigidity wears off a bit. The sealant used on this strap was well applied and was not on the top or bottom of the leather itself. It is a great affordable option for a more formal strap.
