Watch Re-Editions are Lazy...Maybe. Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer, Breitling

Watch Re-Editions are Lazy...Maybe. Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer, Breitling

So the title is probably one of the more controversial opinions we have had for a while. And on purpose, we added the “maybe”. Re-editions of watches can be a great thing - a celebration of the heritage of a manufacture and the amazing watches they have produced. I for one am a huge fan of the Omega Speedmaster, Longines’ Heritage line of watches and many of the heritage pieces from Vacheron Constantin. But are these watches pushing watchmaking forward and innovating to create the next generation of watches? This is one of the reasons we love independent watch companies like De Bethune and MB&F - they are pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. And these watches will be what future generations probably will create as “re-editions”.

Enjoy!
