Favourite Watches from Alfredo Paramico's Collection

Alfredo Paramico is an extremely well known collector of watches. The Italian born watch legend worked in investment banking and has owned some of the most iconic watches in the world of collecting. He even combined his profession and his love for watches and started an investment fund that invests in vintage watches called Elite Advisers.

As mentioned, Paramico has owned some of the best watches so we will discuss our favourite three watches he has owned.

The first watch is the unique platinum chronometer watch commissioned and owned by JB Champion, an extremely successful criminal defense attorney. Patek Philippe has made unique pieces for some of their most important collectors. JB Champion commissioned this time-only watch and asked for “made especially for JB Champion” to be printed on the dial. The watches movement was given a certificate by the Geneva Observatory which certified it as one of the most accurate movements put together. The watch sold at auction for approximately $4 million in 2012 and yes, Paramico was the highest bidder.

The next watch that Paramico has owned is a chronograph from the 1920’s manufactured by Omega. This chronograph however, is not like any other. The enamel dial, two register watch with over-sized case is a mono-pusher chronograph. The chonograph pusher is located at 6 o’clock and is believed by some to be one of the first wrist watch chronographs manufactured by Omega.

Talk about historically significant. A normal way of describing watches that are a part of Paramico’s collection.

The last group of watches that are truly loved by all collectors is the trio of Patek Philippe 570’s that Paramico owns. These watches are easily some of the best time-only watches that came out of Patek Philippe. The watches feature breguet numbers which have become extremely desired by collectors. The three watches are in stainless steel case with a white dial, yellow gold case with a yellow dial and a pink gold case with a light pink dial. Easily the best proportioned Patek’s and if you are looking for these but cannot find one, take a look at the Patek Philippe 5196P - Patek’s modern version of the 570.
