In this episode, we discuss the anatomy of a watch so that you can understand the parts of watches that are being referenced to. We cover basic parts of a watch including the dial, sub-dials, hands, bezel, crown, lugs and case. We then delve into what ‘patina’ is and how it relates to the age of a watch. We discuss how patina really is personal taste and can be on any part of the watch. Some people prefer even patina that can be found on a tropical dial, but some prefer something with a bit more unusual with a lot of character.
